Wont Boot

I have a A7V with 128 ram, A 1 gig processor and it wont boot, **** thing just beeps at me, it is a constant beep that beeps every second and doesnt stop, it does not start for like 4 seconds once powered on. Please help i have tried different ram and cpu. Nothing is plugged into the main board except the video card and I still get it? I have no idea what to do.

Can you try another video card and maybe power supply? Have you ensured that the motherboard is not contacting anything it shouldn't and causing a short? Did you try removing all the drive cables? Did you try the memory in all three slots (a long shot)? And did you make sure the memory and video card are inserted fully? And finally, did you reset the CMOS? According to the manual for your board, page 45, long beeps indicate memory fault.
If none of the above work, you probably have a dead M/B.

I hate to make this a possibility but you may also want to check your CPU for damage. When re-applying arctic silver to my Duron I put my heatsink back on and tried to boot up. I got long beeps with nothing on the monitor. The last thing I checked was the CPU and I had crushed the corners of the CPU when putting the heatsink back on.

Hope this isn't the case.

An alternative would be that you may have damaged some of the tracks on the motherboard when clipping the heatsink in place, I know they are difficult to apply to these sockets.
