CDRW Problem

I am running IN-CD for formating RW discs, when I put a -R disc I get a red slash over the icon in the system tray, this is normal.

I have a Iomega650 cdrw and got it installed and detected. My problems is when I insert a disk in the drive a padlock appears on the cdrw icon. A message apprears and disappears on the screen so fast you can't read it. Does anyone know what this padlock is or means. I assume it is telling me the cdrw drive is locked or something. I can't get past the padlock. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
