Hi Friends:

I have assembled a system and have a problem, Please help me.

My system Specs are as follow:

AMD Tbird 800 MHz CPU
Gigabyte 7Zm MB
128 MB Micron RAM
20 GB HD Maxtor ATA 100
TNT 2 FORSA AGP Video Card and a Motorola 56 Kbps modem
Win 98SE O/S

The Problem I have is, on some boot ups the Video Doslay settings change automatically to 640 by 480 and can not be changed back to the settings I want by going to properties tab, but on subsequent boot ups the system returns back to 1024 by 768 settings. I have done the following trouble shooting.

Reinstall Video card drivers
Reseated Video Card
Replace the video card with a similar card
Replace the RAM and reseated it in every DIMM

I have looked at the FAQ's on this site and spoke to the vendor and no body has any answer for it. Please advise if this can happen due to the faulty MB.

Thanks in Advance,
Helpseeker

Thanks for your reply, No I did not notice any other problem with CMOS Battery. It is a brand new MB. So I asssume battery should be new too.
