Need Help

Hi, I am trying to help a friend via telephone install a CDRW to her computer. She is in London and owns a "time" brand computer. She's got her 5 1/2 slot out of the shell but about an inch in there is a metal strip blocking the drive from slifding in. She says it appears to be welded in. Anyone know how to remove this?

It is probably a 'part pressed' blank, just keep flexing it and it will break the little bits left holding it in.
