You will undougtably get a lot of answers on this one....But for me I have used with great success

1. TDK (around 1.40 each in jewelcases)
2. Imation (around 1.50 in jewelcases)
3. Maxell (1.25 in jewelcases)
4. CompUSA brand (no jewelcase but 60cents each when on sale (which is all the time http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif )

I prefer the TDK for important things as the BLUE recording layer is much better for compatablity with other cd-readers (such as older CDroms, Playstations, Car audio players ect)
The Green or Silver are good too but just not as compatable with older systems.

I get great results on the Imations and Sony disks. It really de[ends on what drive you have. i have the HP 8110 which is actually a Sony drive. Maxells are good but I do get more BU errors w/ them than the Imat. and sonys. Good luck.

I got to Fry's and get the Blue on silver ones. They are GQ brand. I just got 10 for $8.90 with the Jewel cases. I've had zero problems with them. They even have CD-RW's for $.99 right now. Jewel cases mean nothing to me. I use the 96 cd holders for all my stuff and throw away the Jewel Cases.
