now i know a7v mb doesn't have any isa slots; so why is it there in device manager/system devices-"via tech vt82c686 pci to isa bridge" and also "io read data port isa plug and play enumerator".is it a leftover from the via chip set? and does not come into play with this mb or what?

Hehe my K7T(no isa) is the same way, might also be a standard bios the mobo manufacturer then customizes.

Yeah, sounds liek the most probable thing!
Why make different BIOS`s all the time if you can just make one for all your boards? It`s gotta be cheaper!
Of course, there could be some technical reason why it`s still there, but i`m buggered if know, lol!
