do u know how to upgrade or copy the
fiemware from a hdd to another

i want to resize the hdd permanently
purpose is to reduce the size upto working
size

Just wondering... you want to make the drive smaller right? Is it because your computer can't use it since it doesn't support big hdd?

If yes then big HDD have jumpers to block some cylinders and that way reduce the size of the HDD so old computers can use it, but not at its full capacity. Try updating your BIOS, buy a IDE controller card or get a new motherboard... just as a though so you don't waste space of the HDD that way.
