After doing a low level format on a hard drive. How much danger is there moving it from one motherboard to another. Is it very likely that an old hard drive would corrupt a new motherboard?

I just moved WindowsMe from one mobo to another on a hard drive, it found everything ok. I am having trouble with onboard sound but this seems to be a problem with the VIA chipset. Try it, if it works you'll save some install time, if not, no biggee, just install it again. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

There is no danger at all. If you did a successful LL format, the drive is basically like new.

I dont know why in the world anyone would want to low level format a harddrive as it already been done so at factory. It was recommded that you don't. wiping out the entire content clean off my harddrive was something I couldn't afford to do anyway even thought there was bad sector on it.
