has anyone downloaded/installed this? i know its still in beta, but im wondering if its still really buggy (or, not more than what is expected from MS crud...)

i just dont want to install it and then have it screw up my system really bad - i want someone else to be the guinea pig before me http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I am currently using it. It does have a couple of quirks but have been able to workaround them so far http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I'm still running thru it's paces and havent made up my mind yet...But so far so good.

Over at mrc's, there have been a few complaints I have read about slower browsing....

Mntsnow:
what kind of bugs does it have?

I'm running it as well. Some of the pages don't load correctly the first time. That's the only thing I've noticed so far.

Known problems for me...Your mileage may very.
1. Some auto-redirects dont work (such as after posting a reply I dont get auto sent back to thread)
2. Some pages with java scrips dont load correctly (until a refresh then it's fine)
3. Some cookies dont get installed correctly (such as sysopts peferences...Fixed by deleting cookie and reinstalling cookie from web page)

As for speed it has been just as fast as 5.0 or 5.1 has been for me. Still much faster than Netscape.

I tend to install LOTS of beta software weither or not its Microsoft or others (I have 1 machine DEDICATED to do just that!) Right now I am running on my main system with 5.1.
