motherboard problem.....help!!!!

I am having a problem with a slot1 board. My cpu is not making good contact. How do I fix it so it does? I think it is the connector on the boards. Is there a way to clean it and fix the pin connections?

Carefully look around the slot 1 connector and see if a capacitor, connector or something else is in the way of your cpu or heatsink/fan and preventing it from seating all of the way. If they're in the way, as has happened to me a couple of times around the pci slots, capacitors can be pushed slightly to the side with out breaking them.
