How do you configure a mailbox or custom recipient with two e-mail addresses so that an e-mail being sent to that user will be sent to both the recipient's e-mail accounts?

Rat 11-30-2000, 05:12 PM in the address field, type in like this: soandso@whatever.com, soandso@whatever.com This should do the trick. Rat... davkim 11-30-2000, 08:18 PM Thanks for the quick reply. Do you mean type the e-mails like that in Exchange Administrator--> for a custom recipient? Or for a mailbox? thxmanu 12-01-2000, 07:29 AM I would make a distribution list and add whomever you like to it. You are using exchange right? davkim 12-01-2000, 07:51 AM This is the situation. We have an executive who's hardly ever in his office; always traveling. He checks his e-mail through his Hotmail account. He would like it set up where when someone sends him an e-mail to his corporate account, it would go to both his corporate and Hotmail account. thxmanu 12-01-2000, 08:23 AM You can have his hotmail account pickup his pop mail. You just have to set it up; within hotmail, click on "Options" and "Pop accounts". Then he can click on "Pop Mail" under "Services" and it will retrieve his mail. davkim 12-01-2000, 08:28 AM Within Exchange 5.5, how do I input two addresses for one user account? One Corporate e-mail, and one personal external e-mail such as Hotmail. thxmanu 12-01-2000, 08:57 AM There is a way to forward his mail to Hotmail. I don't know how off the top of my head. If I have time, I'll look into it later. thxmanu 12-01-2000, 10:00 AM OK, I take it you can administer in Exchange? You need to go to File->New Custom Recipient->Internet Address. Type in his Hotmail account and all pertinent info. Then, you will open his mailbox (in Exchange)click on the "Delivery Options" tab. Check the Alternate Recipients box and modify adding the new Global mailbox you just created. That should do the trick. Good luck.
