My system won't boot from a cold start.I have to go through a series of reset/power off/reset,etc. in no particular order. When a "high-low" sound comes from the PC speaker,I can hit the reset button and the system will boot. Also, the system works fine from Windows(95c) restart.

Just a guess here since nobody else has responded, maybe your power supply isnt putting out enough power for your whole sys to boot up at the same time. I know HD's take more power to spin up, and then take less power after that, so its possible there isnt enough power to go around, and once the drivers are running, your mobo can boot?, just a guess..., try unplugging the power from your drives and see if it boots first try.

Nope, PS is OK, and it's a 300w PowerMan just running a floopy,CD,HD,and the twin fan "Card Cooler".

I am assuming this is a new install. Here
are some things to try:

1. check to make sure it is not grounded
out (to the case).
2. check to see if the green LED light is
on.
3. Reseat the boards (sound card, video and
memory). It is hard to get them to seat.
4. Go to Soyo site and download the
instructions. The ones shipped are
incomplete. http://www.soyo.com.tw/indexsup.htm

5. Do not bother trying to get any help
from support, they won't answer no matter
how many e-mails you send. If you call
they do not understand English.
6. Once you get it working, it is a nice
board. Hard to believe now, I know.
