A7V + Promise Raid....IRQ problems?

I upgraded to an Asus and Tbird800 recently.

I brought my raid setup, a converted Promise Fastrack66. I have it with 2 maxtor 20 gigs.(2+0)
Worked great with my old Biostar and Athlon 550@700.

Everything seemed normal when I upgraded. Except harddive performace. It clicks loudly, and looks like it would stop responding, then it would start working again. I figured it was a shared IRQ problem, so I moved the cards around thinking maybe I can get a quick fix that way.

No I think it conflicts with another device, and my computer is worse.

Is there a way around this? Can I setup up my IRQs manually?

What OS are you running? In win98 click start/control panel/device manager then check for conflicts(yellow exclamation marks) and post back. Does your raid controller have a bios that you need to set up?
