Hello All. I am having a strange power problem. When I try to boot my computer, it almost always will not boot on first try. It starts to boot, but about 5 or 6 seconds in, (I can hear drives spinnin up, etc) it shuts off. I have to disconnect power supply connection, and/or rearrange the power connections for drives, many times. For example, to boot this time, I had to rearrange connections and disconnect/reconnect the power-supply to AC cable connection many times.
HMonitor pro says my core voltage is at 1.65 highlighted in red, meaning this value is not good (aux voltage at 1.55, also red). Is this the correct voltage? If not, could this be causing the problems? Here are my system specs:
P3-667 Coppermine
VIA 3PRO chipset mobo.
256mb ram
I got the case/power supply from a friend,and I don't know brand name/specs for It. he used it with a k6-3-500
HMonitor ssays I/O voltage is either 3.33 or 3.31 (varies regularly) Thanks for any and all help. post any questions you may have.
