CS Jumper ATA100??

Hello,

I would like to know If i need to set the Jumpers on a Western Digital (WD400BBRTL) 40GB Hard drive to the "cable select" jumper setting to enable the ATA/100 on the Asus A7v motherboard?

I aslo have a 15.3GB hard drive set as Slave so do I keep that one on slave on the Regular Primary IDE controller on the motherboard and swithc the jumper on the 40GB HD to "CS" and put it on the Promise100 IDE controller?

If this is confusing please dont hesitate to ask me to explain myself, I'm not even sure that what i just wrote was entirely Legit.

I recommend setting the primary hdd on ide1 as master[partition this drive down to reasonable sizes...] and the 15.x as secondary master.The pages below are from the asus website.This is new technology so a good approach here is to BENCHMARK performance....and test several different possibles.One of the asus links leads to the promise website re: ata100.
