Although I'm probably not technically able enough to post here, I'm going to try anyway. Kinda at my wits end.
Ok, got the DSL, had it installed, wasn't here for the installation. My problem is, while it seems like I can connect, I cn't use any applications in Windows. I can ping IPs and tracert stuff in DOS, but nothing works in Windows. I've already called Earthlink tech support(by the way, ISP is Earthlink, DSL people are Covad, yeah, I know they're not any good). Anyhow, we tried reinstalling Windows networking protocals and stuff, using DNS numbers they gave me instead of auto detecting them. My Ethernet card is from a company called Netwrok Anywhere, it's 10/100. My DSL modem is from a company called Efficient Networks, called a SpeedStream 5260. In Netscape, I get an error about not being able to create socket connections. In EI, I get an error about an internal error in Windows internet extensions. Please help...:P

If any other information would be especially useful in solving this problem, I would try to provide it...

Let's try this in Networking. Moved there.
