I have a floppy that won't read. Computer says it's there and Is working properly. When I go to click on it, I get error message that there is no disk or door is open. Can't figure this one out. Maybe NEW floppy drive???

Have you tried more than one floppy? And try booting your comp with the startup disk or any boot disk to see if the drive finds the floppy in dos.
