UFOs on my PC?

Could it be a trojan? Try downloading McAfee virus protector, or Norton anti-virus, see if that does it. If you have already done that, refer to the search button and try for "Trojan" or "virus" I know this forum has had its share of virus threads running, that will probably answer all your questions.

I've run into a odd virus(?) that has been popping up when I boot my PC (just before the memory test).

It bisects the screen, vertically, with a gray line then a little UFO, shaped like a slightly stretched diamond <> falls down to the center of the screen and disappears. The "ship" has a little crown shape on the top and bottom with a couple blinking lights on them.

Does anyone know if this thing is actually harmful or just eye-candy?
