What settings do I have to change to boot up without Win98 logo?

Press esc when the boot logo screen appears.

Edit your MSDOS.SYS file. You will first have to remove the "read only" attribute.
In the [OPTIONS] section add LOGO=0

You might also want to add BootDelay=0 .
This will remove the 2-3 second pause when it says "Starting Windows 98". If you ever need to hit F8 after this patch to get into the boot options screen, You'll have to time it perfectly!

Or you could get Tweak UI and change it in a couple of seconds, without having to do anything fiddly.

in my msdos.sys i have following:

BootGUI=1
DoubleBuffer=1

WinVer=4.10.2222

the rest is commented out. should i add what you've sujested?
