You can check out their site at www.echoes.net (http://www.echoes.net) maybe I'm just stupid and understood it the wrong way. It would be a great help if someone straightened it out for me.
Thanks

Thanks Jkayo 12-01-1999, 04:57 PM If you all could, maybe blast them with emails telling them that their service is **** and maybe they'll do somethin about it. OuTpaTienT 12-01-1999, 06:07 PM Well, I must admit I do like their cool 3D rendering with their logo and the black globe, here www.adamscable.com (http://www.adamscable.com) But their internet services page is kinda vague (to me anyways). This is what I'd do (& what I suggest you do): Just send them an e-mail requesting some clarification of their policy. AND give them a specific example and ask how it would affect your bill. Ask them something like this: Regarding the 3Gb bandwidth limit. Does that mean if I were to download 4Gb of data withing a one month billing period that I'd be 1Gb over the limit? And at $0.05 per Mb, that would add $50.00 to my bill for that month? In fact, ask them that exact question and let us know the answer. If it's yes, then I'll be more than happy to voice my opinion with them because I think that's an outright rip-off on a grand scale. Just to compare, my cable service gives me - NO speed limit on downloads. It's often in the 100k-300k range (but have seen it go as high 600k+). - I have NO limit on amount of data throughput. Although I'm sure if I start having 10's of Gb's per month they will ask me just what the hell I'm doing? But no limits stated in the contract. - The only limitation on my service is my upload speed which is restricted to 128k (so far this hasn't really been a problem). - And this cost me $40/month including use of modem (setup was free & 1st month was free).
