suspicious hard disk noise

Hi Guys
Right before I put my password into windows I noticed vibrating hdisk noise and a beep right before the icons load Is this something I should be concerned about? thanx in advance

First off make sure your important documents etc. are backed up.

Second find out what kind of hard drive is inside your machine. You can download a utility from the hard drives manufacturers website that will check the drive for you to see if there is a problem or not. If you need more help, let us know what kind of hard drive it is and we can help you further.

I accessed samsung for the utility but no response my hdrive is model SV0432A by samsung ide4310mb the vibration is very noticeable the sequence is 1-a short quiet vibration 2-a louder short vibration 3-a short single beep
