I just upgraded pretty much everything. I'm running an AMD Athlon T-Bird/900, 128MB PC100 RAM, Tyan Trinity motherboard, Creative Annihilator Geforce2 video card w/32MB on it, and the Soundblaster Live Platinum.

The short story: The drivers for the sound card seem to be my problem. I called Creative, and they had me DL a specific driver and the updated motherboard drivers. (the newest on both counts, I imagine.) Only thing is, the driver for the sound card is an .exe file. When I try to install the drivers for the card, it's looking for an .ini file. (Or maybe an .inf file. I forget.)
If I just double click on the .exe file, it says it can't find a Creative card in my system.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks ahead of time...

I went round & round with this too. I downloaded the drivers several times and made folders for them. Eventually one (download/folder) worked, I think. (We have 2 computers with Live cards & recently reformatted so had to do this twice.)

The Creative site can be a problem to download from due to all the traffic. Keep working at it and use the remove option in Device mgr in between.
