Cant get past the Win98 startup screen. Ive tried scandisk, chkdsk, scanreg, regrestore, safemode, commandpromt mode, step by step mode Across the bottom of the blue 98 startup screen its making that wave sortof motion so its not frozen. Ive used the startup disk with command SYS C:. I dont really now or maybe not thinking staight, frustrated. Any thoughts appreciated

What are your sys specs?
Do you have a network card installed? That sometimes slows systems down at boot.
Also when you try to boot just let it run. Every now and then my comp does that, takes between 3 to 5 min to boot then boots normally after that.As long as that blue bar is scrolling.

If you have waves then windows is running. Hit the Escape key when ever that window is up and look to see if anything is conflicting or missing. If it is keep removing one card at a time till it boots successfully.
