This this is absolutely amazing. No trouble in setting it up, other than my new Kenwood 52x being DOA. Everything went smoothly.
This thing flies. It's actually going to take some getting used to because it's so **** fast! *No* waits for windows to pop up. The system tears through my new IBM GXP at an unbelievable rate. A Win98 install took 12 min!!!
Also, it only takes 22 seconds from power-on until my desktop is ready. 22 seconds!!!!
I'll get some numbers ASAP.
Right now I have to set up a proxy so my family will quit *****ing.

Egads - a 12 minute Win98 install?? Unbelievable. I'll have to get one and verify that. /forum/wink.gif

Can someone tell me how to take a screenshot so I can post some benchmarks?

Dominus: If you just want a "general screenshot" press ALT + PRINT SCREEN.
This will "dump" the active window to the clipboard. If no window is active it will dump the entire desktop.
All you need to do afterwards is to paste the image into a graphics package and your screenshot is ready. If you don't have a graphics package you can dump the image into "Paint" which is coming with Windows, but this means that you will have to save in *.bmp format which is a terrible format (it is huge). If you've got "Power Point" you can use it to save the screenshot as *.gif instead.
I'm sorry if I misinterpreted the question and posted stuff that is "elementary" to you.

Happy days...
Well, so much for my latest benchmarks, yea, but I'm a happy camper too.
Ok, we're ready for some screenshots, bring 'em on.
Ya know, we had a slight earthquake this morning, that wasn't just you bootin' up your machine this morning, was it?
Watch out for speeding tickets,

Here's the "CPU Benchmark" from Sandra99:

~EDIT: ^&*#ing XOOM won't allow the linking of images, so you're gonna have to cut & paste.

wOOT! kind of reminds me of when I ran some OLD DOS based Nortons benchmarks on my Pentium 133 - off the scale!

Here's a benchmark of my box at 666mhz!!! (Nwarg!!)
http://members.xoom.com/gutbusters/sandra99-2.jpg
By my calculations, I'll reach the hallowed GigaFLOP at 722mhz!! I'll probably just shoot for 750 though /forum/smile.gif
Even the bots in Q3A seem more badass with this system!

I havent benchmarked my system (Cybermax Athlon500 with MSI 6167), but it seems awfully fast, except.. one thing, it takes longer than my K6-2 400 to start W98, IT starts it in about 1:20. Not sure why, Could it be my network card?, It just sits there and nothin on screen for about 20 seconds, then a cursor blinks for another 20, then I get to the Microsoft Network Login, Any ideas, Congrats on Athlon Dominus, Youll learn to love it deeply =)

Dominus, that link gives me nothing. What motherboard did you use?

Do you use DHCP to get an IP? Thats probably whats slowing down your system.
Now with all my software installed, my system boots in just under 30 seconds.
Linux takes over a minute though, which is strange.

You've got to cut & paste the link because XOOM won't allow direct linking.
I'm using a K7M rev 1004 without onboard audio.

Dash,
Your network card makes your system boot slow cause it looks for a network each time you start your system. Take the card out and it should boot faster.

Squeezed another 15 MFLOPS out of it. /forum/smile.gif

Well I assign it an IP address, and I definately cant just remove the card, I need it in there hehe, I'll have to bench mine Dominus, see how close it is to your performance =)

You're so lucky. There's no way I'll EVER have an Athlon because I'm ALWAYS broke, never have any money (except for now, presents you see..). I found it difficult to afford my AMD K6-2 350, 32mb RAM, 2.5gb HDD, Crystal Audio Codec and Diamond Speedstar A55. Please don't laugh, becaus, despite the specs, this machine is actually really fast. I just finished building it (again in a new case) and I'm haveing a few problems with the graphics card on the Windows desktop, but hey.... /forum/smile.gif
