What does this need? spark25 09-04-2000, 09:38 PM It means something(waol) is causing your 'puter to crash.Get rid of anything having to do with aol and it'll stop. For sure. BFlurie 09-05-2000, 07:00 AM Spark, that's not helpful & isn't even right. Fact is, alittle searching on the net shows Cm8330.drv is the culprit. Cm8330.drv apparently is a very buggy driver associated w/the Onboard Sound Pro chip. Brobb, all I can suggest is using search engines on the Net, like: http://www.google.com/ http://www.dogpile.com/index.html and search for cm8330.drv Possibly a driver update might help -- the search above will lead you to them. brobb22 09-07-2000, 10:23 PM I forgot to mention that I have SoundBlaster Gold. Does this make a difference? BFlurie 09-08-2000, 06:04 AM Brobb, Soundblaster Gold shouldn't be using that driver. Go into your BIOS and make sure the On-board sound is DISABLED -- you'll need your mobo or computer manual to do this. Liam 09-08-2000, 06:07 AM Hello There, Cm8330 is the sound driver for mostly pc chips motherboards, also known as houston, alton, compuware etc. You say you have a sb, is it possible that you have a soundcard on board? If so you need to disable the onboard sound either thru the bios or a motherboard jumper, and then remove the driver. ciao SysOpt.com
