I restarted my Win2k machine and after "Verifying DMI Pool Data", I get a message, "NTLDR is missing".

Everything shutdown properly and I made no system changes, so this is inexplicable to me. It happens before the boot.ini options come up also, so I can't do an F8 to start in SAFE Mode.

Thanks http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif,
jj

Just toss in your Win2K ERD disk if you made it http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif or just toss in your Win2K CD and choose "repair"

I hope this isn't getting serious here http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/redface.gif... I don't have a repair disk (I know, shame on me...) I went into Win2k repair, and it says it can not find a win2k installation to repair. Then I went into the recovery console, and the installation that it found wasn't on the C:, but on the E:! The E:??!!

Wooooeee, that was screwy. What the HECK happened there... I fixed it with Partition Magic, somehow the active partition was changed to E: and ALL the others became "hidden"... This must be one of those occasional nasty Win2k bugs...

Thanks for the info, Mtsnow!
