I was wondering what bus speed 70ns Fast Page Mode Ram would tolerate as I'm broke and can get FPM RAM for free!

RobRich 11-24-1999, 11:19 PM I've seem good quality 72pin simms go upto 100mhz, but most commonly will make it to 75 or 83 mhz with little problem. alpha 11-25-1999, 02:27 PM Ye sure it's that high? Do remember that this is the RAM used in 486's! No offence, like... /forum/smile.gif 800XL 11-26-1999, 11:11 AM FPM and EDO simms do not run syncronous with the CPU bus like SDRAM. That gives you a lot of room to change the bus speed up without too much problem. I've had EDO simms running with a 124Mhz bus at one point. SysOpt.com
