How would you hook it up? DAT (digital audio tapes) are about as close as you can get. In the old days cassette tapes were used but could not work in todays technology. Of course I could be wrong but I doubt it. If anyone disagrees let me know! scotter 11-24-1999, 11:02 PM you could do it but it would not hold a lot of info if i remember right a 60 min tape would only hold a few megs. that was with a commador 64 lol /forum/smile.gif Bleep 11-25-1999, 01:45 AM About 6or 7 months ago there was a device available to backup on video tape but I dont remember what the name was. ZD net had a article on it so a search there might yield some results. I think you could backup 5 or 6 gigs on one tape. Bleep Zotzmein 11-25-1999, 08:45 AM jman01pa, Timex Sinclair? I owned one! It was to me the equivalent of a portable computer because it was small and lightweight compared to my other system. I used to pack it up and take it with me to my friend’s house. It was sleek and black in design, featured sixteen kilobytes of ram, with a touch sensitive keyboard (didn’t have actual keys). It took me on average fifteen to twenty minutes to load a program (I could be confusing this load time with my Atari 800) At the same time had an Atari 800 with whopping 48K and both the cassette tape drive and disk drive. Believe it or not, I still own the Atari 800 system, I pulled it out of storage last year, plugged it in and it worked just fine. I also still have my Pong 2 with retail box. It was unique from the original version in that you could put batteries into the back and take it to a friend’s house with out lugging the power pack. Regards to All, Zotz Mein SysOpt.com
