Task Manager!!!!!!!!!!

I have the following files shown running in task manager. I think there are a few too many and would like to get rid of some of them. Can anybody tell me which ones that it is safe to get rid of.

Get rid of anything that says "hosted by"!

the link is correct, but angelfire doesn't allow outside linking.

well, you have two copies of the "svchost.exe" so i suppose you could disable (or delete, in RegEdit) one copy of it. also, you can get rid of "mstask.exe" and "taskmgr.exe" if you don't use the task scheduler.

also, you have WinAmp open here, so you obviously know you can shut that off.

not sure about the rest of them, as my Win2K box is at my other house and I don't get to fool around on it much.

Start run type msconfig under startup you can stop them from loading at start up. Trial and error One at a time. You can recheck them to get them to load again. Hope this helps.

Sorry Mntsnow it posted alright earlier. I have tried msconfig and it doesnt work. I am running windows 2000. I will remove the programs that people recommend. Thankyou CujoRbd for hosting the message for me.

Anymore advice would be welcome.
