Hello-

I ordered an Athlon Classic 700 (slot A) the other day. I am just wondering what fabrication process it uses.

It's OEM and I'm pretty sure it's a .18 since I'm assuming it would be a new chip, but is there like a serial number that would tell me? I want to know because don't the .25 micron chips produce a lot more heat?

Also, I would prefer if I didn't have to crack the thing open to find out. Even if it's OEM, I want what warranty I get http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif.

Thanks

Ok, I THINK the Athlon 700 would be a .18 micron Athlon. I'm not sure that there's an easy way to tell, other than voltage.

The Athlon @ .25 microns should require more voltage than the .18. For the exact numbers, you'll have to check around.
