I have a Mitsumi 32x CD ROM drive. Mitsumi`s web page says it supports digital extraction, but when I use Real jukebox it says my drive does NOT support digital extraction. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should try here?

Thanx.

DAE test results (Mitsumi included): http://www.cdspeed2000.com/go.php3?link=daeresults.php3

Cd-DAE; Cd-SPEED bench tests (test your drive): http://www.cdspeed2000.com/go.php3?link=download.html

Try something else besides Real products...

On the back of the cd-rom drive there should be a digital connector, you need to hook that to your sound card

Thanks for the help! Hey mad hamster, are you sure about the digital cable? I thought digital extraction was done over the IDE bus.

I have solved the problem! I can now do digital extraction w/ my CD ROM drive.
It was a software problem - I downloaded a copy of EASY CDDA EXTRACTOR, and had no problems. Hey Mad Hampster - That digital cable you mentioned (S/P DIF) is not for digital extraction, but just for listening to your CD over a digital link rather than an analog one if your sound card supports such stuff.
Thanx foy all the input everyone!
