USB Web Cam

I purchased a D-link DSB-C300 webcam this week and have been unable to sucessfuly install it. I have 2 other USB devices that work fine, Lexmark printer and Diamond modem backup for DSL :-)
I tried installing the web cam via a hub and via the USB port on the pc. the pc recognizes it and loads all the drivers and stuff but the cam never gets power and the software that it came with is really slow and doesnt show any images.
Anyone out there had any similar problems.?
I guess I'll have to call tech support tonight when I get home from work.

My Creative USB webcam is NOT seen nor can I force install it. Tried for a couple of days then gave up. Several diff ways were of no help either.. dunno?? Hope you have better luck than I.. DrVette
