I have a Pentium 2 350, a Biostar M6TBA mobo (which are both multiplier locked) and 128mb ram. I have just recently gor an ASUS V3800 Ultra deluxe video card. After installing the video card, my CPU is now clocked at 361Mhz and I am getting a message on bootup "Warning SPD not found at DIMM(S) 2, 3" My PC also does not feel as stable any more (crashes more often). What does this all mean and how can I fix this?

Well as for why your CPU is now reading 361 I have not an aswer for you. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

As for the "no spd" that is because the memory you installed does not have the chip on it that allows it to be auto configured by your motherboard for the cas and latency. there should be an option in your bios to allow you to disable the "SPD" detection. Just make sure you have configured your ram correctly in the bios.

As for why the system doesnt seem as stable could be a multitude of things ranging from added heat from the new vid card, to a mis-configuration of the memory settings. (you might have CAS3 mem and are set to CAS2 ect)

Thanks for your reply, what is the CAS and latency? (CAS2?, CAS3?) I had a brief look for anything to do with SPD in my BIOS yesterday and found nothing, could it be called something else?
