At every turn and default setting it's MS this and MS that..more than any Windows so far - even the hourglass is a waving Windows flag! yipes!

MS logo would go here but I don't want to get anyone in trouble with Bill

But you all should see my "Apple" with a bite missing and a worm in it: the caption reads: "Eat Different!" - it's a modified decal on my work tool box.

email me, I have the best logo for startup of all Win9X/Win milinium. It says, "Windows 95" but it is appropriate, here is a nice little discription:

thunder clouds, lightning going on, shattered window, under the text says, "Shattered Windows 95 with bugs!"

Funny thing and I didn't think about it until I read your post. After I installed Win 98 2nd edtn. and then uninstalled it, I just realized that the start up logo and shut down logos have completely disappeared.Goes from POST right thru to desktop. On shut down( I exit all my programs before shutting down) goes black screen, then ' It's safe to turn off your computer' Figure that one out??

I never see the Win98 start-up logo. Using TweakUI/Boot tab, I go directly after the POST into Boot Menu. I like having it there and ready should I choose/need it. /forum/smile.gif

My copy (illeagal as it may be) is bandy. It won't shut down at all. It says "Windows is shutting down.." on the prepareing for shutdown splash. Gets no further.

My win98 startup logo is gone courtesy of Tweakui too.
I'd like to change the message I get when I reboot due to a freeze and windows lectures me about how to shut down properly tho!

Heh, I took my start-up screen off for a whiule, it scared the **** out of me the first few boots, and then I re-enabled it when I found this logo.
