Well, it has become painfully obvious to me that it seems like I might actually derive more pleasure out of tweaking, adjusting, manipulating, overclocking, fine tuning, adding software, and swapping hardware on my computer than actually USING the **** machine...
Every time I read a thread about trying "copper cache spacers", or "rounding IDE cables", or "taking the back of the PIII to help cooling" or "lapping your chip", I can't get the panel off the PC fast enough to try the suggestions out....
Once I finish with all the most recent suggestions on tweaking, overclocking, and fine tuning, and all I'm left with is a fully tweaked and functioning PC, I just sit around, surf the web, hoping to find something else to buy, or some other suggestion which gives me a reason to open the computer back up...
I mean, I love to play on-line games, and get into the fraggin' of UT, Half-Life, etc, but nothing gets me going like just WORKING on this infernal machine...
So, what do you think? Counseling?? hehe

you know, it's like collecting ball cards, 'ya know? It's not having them, it's finding them, dickering for them, bringing them home, putting them into their little protective sleeves. But once you're done doing all that, you have your collection all nice and pretty, but it's the thrill of the chase, once you make the kill, (unless you're really hungry!), you're ready for another chase.
Good Luck In All...

I started back in the old 8 bit days, even though the progs ran on 16k it wasn't enough because some one out there had 32 or 64k when we all had 64k well we needed 256k it was the hacking that was the challange not the programs that ran on the sys, As for needing air well you get a blast every time you use the compressed air to clean sys out. /forum/biggrin.gif as I can't get out much at the moment I think I might be getting addicted to the compressed air cans /forum/wink.gif just join the club H.H.A. they got no meeting place just more hardware hacking. /forum/smile.gif

Well my friends...Its good to know that I'm not alone! This whole thing is pretty funny, hehe...
And these days, the most common thing heard around my house (besides my REALLY fat cat screamin' for food) is my wife saying "your doing WHAT to the computer?"
must....keep.....tweaking.....Cheers!
