I know there are'nt alot of programmers lurking around this BBS, but does anyone know what programming language all of these FPS games like Quake 3 are written in? Thanks.

Could it be Q++ Perhaps ...
No, actually, I could only guess that it's "C++" but , Hey all you Software Gurus, how 'bout helpin' us out here, what is the source used for writing this OpenGL stuff?
We'll get to the bottom of this !!

good one chainsaw /forum/wink.gif

I really don't think you can do that with C++, I know C++ and it doesn't come close to having a GUI that performs like that. maybe it's Visual C++? don't know still.

Felix,
Here's a link that might shed some light on the subject.
"Quake C is a programming language which John Carmack developed expressly for use with Quake"
Perhaps it can lead you to some others too.
(I wasn't 'too' far off with my Q++ remark)
