I just installed a new ABit BE6-II motherboard with a 533 celeron and everything went very smoothly until I had to get my modem going. The board recognizes the modem and so does Windows 98. It installs the modem correctly but when I go to dial out it says there is no response from the modem. This modem was working fine with my old board and I have checked the phone line. It is an ISA modem. It seems to be a Com port problem because I have managed to change the ports around and get the modem to do a test but when I get that far it will only pick up the phone like it's going to dial and then say there is no response. Any ideas??

Maybe you have to set something in the bios.
I don't know where you can set it in the bios because I've the famous Compaq bios;-) and i run cable.
