I want Netscape messanger but not the browser, any ideas how?

I have looked breifly through netscapes download pages, and I cant find anywhere that I can download just there mail server ( I use IE5 and Eudora but I like messanger better)...any help? I just dont feel like putting the browser also when I know im not going to use it. thanks.

Can't you go into your ISP program and delete the browser? I can on mine if I want to.Can't imagine why you would want to though. Don't want no part of IE myself, that's like having pajamas with a flap on the back. Never know when somethings gonna get in your pants, then when it's in how to get it out. Good Luck

I have a cable modem so I dont know about going through the ISP....I know I could always delete the browser and keep the mail server...I just wonder how well that woudl work. But from my experience, Netscape lately had locked up on me a whole lot more than explorer, so until netscape 5 comes out, I will stick with IE5. thanks!

Go to www.netscape.com (http://www.netscape.com) then click on instant messenger its in small print but it will be right in front of your eyes.then just follow the instructions

no no, not instant messanger, i mean the mail checker, netscape messanger. thanks though , i went ahead and installed it all.

If your using windows 98, you can change the setting on your internet options in control panel. You can choose a specific program for your mail(ie. N.messenger) and another for your browsing(ei. Iexpore 5) and another for your news etc.
