I have recieved the following WARNINGS and would appreciate if someone could tell me how to go about each process.......

1.VGA pallette snooping seriously reduces video perfomance.Disable if you do not need it.
2.GVC corporation unknown.PCI latency too high.Device could hog bus too long.

3.COM3 port not detected by windows.Possibly internal modem.........(it is my modem and shows to be in device manager if i look at modem properties, but if i look in the PORT setting itself it only shows COM1 and COM2??)

and finally......
4.16-bit winsock stack not found.Legacy applications may not work.

Can anyone relate to this as it's way out'a my depth!!
Anybody know of a decent downloadable utillity program along the lines of SiSoft Sandra and System Mechanic rolled into one?
If so where can i get it? Thanx,Loul

#1- bios setting, if you are unfamiliar with changing bios, leave as is, not that big a problem.
#2- not much to be done there but harmless
#3- ignore it, your modem is on com3 most likely.

Don't take Sandra's warnings and advice too seriously.
Sorry, didn't see #4 until afterwards. What Windows version are you running? Most likely a non-problem as well.

#4. -- That means the 16-bit file Winsock.dll is missing from c:\windows -- probably renamed Winsock.old. If so, try renaming it to Winsock.dll. This appears to be an occasional glitch when Windoz updates the Network components. Do you have Wins Configuration enabled in your Network TCP\IP properties? This might be causing the problem -- I doubt you'd need it enabled unless you had Microsoft Network enabled -- a no-no on the Internet if TCP\IP is binded to it.
