OK........
Here is my situation.
I have a folder containing all of my mp3s. Each mp3 has the winamp logo right beside it.
When I use the Easy CD Creator v.3.5 with my HP 8250i to create an audio CD, it asks where the files (mp3s) to be burnt are located. I select the folder with all of my mp3s however, none of them show up on screen.
I hear from somepeople that i need to convert them to .wav files. How? I also have heard that I can use WINAMP to convert the mp3s into files that can be burnt onto the CD. How?
My main goal is to put mp3s from my hard drive to a cd via my HP8250i.
I am not that smart with computers, so if you decide to help me, please explain everything!
I REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5,
AFAIK, the only version of Adaptec CD creater that will burn Audio CDs directly from MP3s is version 4. You will need to convert from MP3s to WAV files.
To do this in Winamp:
From the main Winamp screen, press Control+K. This will bring up a menu asking you to select a plug-in. Find where it says "Output" under "Plug-ins". In the menu that pops up on the right, you will see a list of 4 or so Output plug-ins. The second one down should be "Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in...". Click on this one, and then click "Configure" to select the directory you want Winamp to put the WAV files in. Then go back into CD Creator and burn the Audio CD using these WAV files.
P.S. be sure to delete the WAV files after you are done burning them... they take up ~10x the space of the MP3s!

I did everything you said.
The was able to select the files I wanted to burn. After the CD finished writing I popped the CD into my stereo, yet it didn't play. What am I doing wrong?

Did you make sure you "closed" the CD after burning. Until you "close" the CD you CD player will not be able to read it.
If you did not "close", put it back in your CD writer and tell it to close it. Once closed it should play ok.
aw
THAT DIDNT WORK!
Whats the problem...

Did it play in your comp? some older stereos and discmans cant read CD-r Media.
I tried it in my PC. It would look as if it were playing, but no sound would come out (all speakers are on.)
By the way Im using CDRW. Does that matter?
Where can I get Easy CD Creator v 4> Its supposed to write MP3s with no hassle.
ANy help would be great.

Chances are, your CD player and CD drive don't like CD Audio on CD-RW discs. Try doing the same with a CD-R disc and see what happens.
As far as Easy CD Creater 4, it should be available at your local CompUSA store, or there are various places available online that you may order from. A listing of Adaptec's authorized resellers can be found at Adaptec's Authorized Reseller Index (http://www.adaptec.com/products/buy/resellers.html).
Hope this helps!

I know it may sound elementary, but do you have a CD-audio cable connecting your CD-RW to your sound card? If not it would appear like the CD was playing correctly without giving you any sound.
