Office97 won't run - mso97.dll problem

I can't run any of my Office 97 products. I suddenly could not open any
of them and would get a message stating unable to find mso97.dll file. I
then updated to sr2b which added this file. Now I get an illegal
operation in Winword below:

Please help? I have searched the Microsoft database to no avail. Also
have scanned with updated Norton Antivirus 2000, no viruses!

Have you tried reinstalling office97?
