JP 02-18-1999, 04:30 PM http://members.xoom.com/PSComputers Isos 02-23-1999, 02:56 AM What is your budget? I suggest you find one near you, just in case you have problems, it's easier to throw the computer back to them. If you want an adventure, you can build it yourself. You can ask your favorite computer expert to help you or you can post messages in this BBS and someone is bound to give you the wrong answers but might point you to the right direction. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ram 03-11-1999, 11:05 AM Well you can go to netsellers main page and ask prices and info, there support for the systems is quite good, and plenty of help if ya want to do it yourself. ram kwai 03-11-1999, 02:21 PM try: http://www.micronpc.com http://www.gateway.com http://www.compusa.com http://www.quantex.com/ some let you specify everything, but most let you modify a base system. I started out planning to build my own and had all the cheapest prices recorded thanks to pricewatch.com. Because many of the vendors with the best prices do not have the best reputations and returning the individual pieces would be a pain I started looking for a local vendor. I faxed a list of the exact pieces I wanted to go into the computer to 12 businesses I found in a local computer magazine. I selected one with the lowest price after checking out the vendor through the Better Business Bureau End result. 3 Days later, one great computer at just below the best price I could have built one for. Chainsaw 11-11-1999, 12:48 AM You might check out www.NuTrend.com (http://www.NuTrend.com) They have some nicely configured models that you can customize. If you watch their sales, (they are also in ComputerShopper mag), you can find some good deals. They have a good warranty and I liked dealing with them. One word of caution with anyone you deal with on a customized system, check your system closely against your invoice when you get it and keep all documentation and packaging. The main thing I found to work to my advantage was to not get into a hurry, compare a heck of a lot of adds and enjoy the whole process. Good luck [This message has been edited by Chainsaw (edited 11-11-1999).] felix726 11-11-1999, 03:43 PM try http://www.a2zcomp.com/ they have systems that you choose all the components on (right down to the case). They let you choose any of the item from their catalog. give them a look I doubt you will be dissapointed, and the prices are very competitive.
