Windows 2000 default monitor issue

Just loaded win2k up on my other system, works ok but I can't seem to install my monitor, just the default choice is given. At one time it did come up as a Destination 32' inch monitor . . . but after going back to a Viper 550 from an AGP VooDoo1000 it won't let me choose my Destination monitor ( on special @ gateway ) my PCs are not gateway's either, the one I'm messing with is a PIII 550 w/ 320MB of RAM, Viper 550, VooDoo2, SB Awe64, DVD decoder and DVD ROM. So-So machine. This win2k default monitor thing has me stumped. Any ideas ?
