I just put together a system that is as follows:
Athlon 900
256MB PC133 memory
Asus K7V Motherboard
Asus v6800 Deluxe Graphic Card
Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer
Creative Labs 8/4/32X CD-RW
Creative Labs 8X Encore DVD with Dxr3 decoder card
PCI Winmodem
IMATION Super Disk (LS-120)

The system works fine...However the Hard Drive is an ATA 66 and the mobo supports it. Although I have the DVD and CD-RW on the secondary IDE, while i have the HD and the Super Disk on the primary IDE. I think the slowed speed is because of the SuperDisk and Hard drive combo. I would put the CD-RW with the HD on the primary IDE, and set the CD-RW as slave, but this still would make the dive slow because ot will work on PIO 2 or 3 mode, thus limiting the ATA66 drive again. I wanted to add Promise's PCI ATA 66 controller card.....but I do not know if the card is compatible with BIOS, and drivers....anybody out there added a controller card to a mobo with a KX133 chipset and Award BIOS?? Any help would be appreciated.

Dementedevil;
I like Promise Technologies' products but have not used the specific one you refer to. But I know of a competing product that you might wanna look at: the "UDMA" model on this page:
http://www.firmware.com/sales/atapro/index.htm

It hooks in and extends your BIOS (like Promise) and doubles what your MB has in the way of IDE, for a total of 8 drives possible. It also mentions LS-120 and Zip drive boot support (I don't know much about those drives).
