In my BIOS I have an option to reset resource assignments. What does this do, and when (if ever) should it be used?

Basically a computer has a ceratin amount od resources....these resources are allocated to PCI cards, AGP, cards, ISA slots etc.......the way a comp does this is by something known as IRQ's.....These IRQ's are changed as you add a card etc...so basically that option you described sounds like a reset feature on your BIOS for these resources. I think you can do this, if you want to restart over, when puttingh a system from scratch. I am new to this, and think this may be of some help.....,but it is something to this efect.
