In my BIOS I have an option to reset resource assignments. What does this do, and when (if ever) should it be used?

What does this do, and when (if ever) should it be used? DEMENTEDEVIL 06-09-2000, 03:17 AM Basically a computer has a ceratin amount od resources....these resources are allocated to PCI cards, AGP, cards, ISA slots etc.......the way a comp does this is by something known as IRQ's.....These IRQ's are changed as you add a card etc...so basically that option you described sounds like a reset feature on your BIOS for these resources. I think you can do this, if you want to restart over, when puttingh a system from scratch. I am new to this, and think this may be of some help.....,but it is something to this efect. SysOpt.com
