Ok, I need something that will bond 4 hard disk partions (all on the same drive) to make them act like they are all together and not partioned. I need them to be seperate for my purposes, I need to partion the disk into 1gb parts, but I can double the capacity, just think of the possibilites on one of those masive IBM 73gbs!!! (of course in there, you would need 74 partions!!!) Now, the trick is useless in partions over 1.5gb, and is closest to optimal at 1gb partions. I know there is something out these that does this, but where?

If you're using NT then you might want to make a volume set. This makes multiple partitions appear and act as one drive. Use Disk Administrator for this. If you dont have NT then i don't know.

You can do that with a Novell server too. But I doubt you are using that. It's strange but we were talking yesterday about the very same thing.

It is going to run Windows 98, that is the only operating system I have been able to enable this trick in, since Windows melinium is just windows 98 with a few extra tools, it might work there too, how much is big disk?

What "trick" are you talking about? Usually, if you make a Stripe set" on one drive, you actually loose performance, but if you use multiple drives it increases performance.

I just put in the FastTrak66 with 2- 13.5G 7200's in "Stripe/Raid-0" config and it's just plain awesome!

What I am doing although lowering performance, almost doubles capacity, and that is what I am interested in with the system I am playing with.
