Hi always found WD better on Warranty Back up, but Maxtor size is temping in this instance .3 of a gig extra, hell go with the WD drive if it's cheaper.

Either one as they are BOTH good harddrives! I would personally say get the one that you get the best price on!

Just for your information BOTH brands can be had in 66 as well as 33 versions. Since he did not specify which MODEL and only asked about brands. I give the answer that I did as well as the others. (do you know if he has a motherboard that is 66 compliant ?.
