And what other statuses (sp?) can I expect to see?? Mntsnow 11-06-1999, 02:48 PM Well your a bit over half way there....It takes 31 posts to become a "member" after that there is nothing at this time....We treat everyone the same wiether they are a "JR" or "SR" member. Mntsnow CocoPops 11-06-1999, 02:52 PM So how do you know how many messages have been posted by an individual?? Lee. Mntsnow 11-06-1999, 03:23 PM just click on the little face (just above where this is typed) with a ? mark next to it and it will show you how many posts a person has as well as anyother information they chose to share. /forum/biggrin.gif (to find out more about the bbs and how to make Smilely faces, click on the FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) at the top of the page. Mntsnow CocoPops 11-07-1999, 03:11 AM Thanx Snow, I appreciate the input. Lee. welsh wizard 11-07-1999, 04:04 AM Hi CocoPops Don't worry about being a junior member or just a member it means didly squat, there are juniors out there that can show us old timers the way to go, though I must admit you come across members like Mntsnow, 800XL, Cmonster, Socalgal, S**t I could go on and on who really know their systems and for that matter yours if you tell them its mobo and specs. Just relax sit back and enjoy the BEST LITTLE BBS ON THE NET. these guys and gals really care about each other even when we make daffy replies, becuase you'l learn and so will we. Welsh Wizard [This message has been edited by welsh wizard (edited 11-07-1999).] CocoPops 11-07-1999, 04:12 AM Thanx welsh Wizard, Its nice to know that every one is as helpful as I would try to be. Just out of interest, how long has this forum been going?? Lee. welsh wizard 11-07-1999, 05:18 AM Hi CocoPops In answer to your above question try the following. http://www.sysopt.com/aboutus.html I am sure Scott Joel should really update the mugshot's they look like the been there for ever. Enjoy the read. WW CocoPops 11-07-1999, 05:26 AM Hi WW, I see what you mean about that page could do with updating! :-) I hear it was touch and go for you back there, I am glad you made it. I must admit I hadn't really thought about who "Welsh Wizrd" was until you replied. You seem to be a well respected guy around here, I hope with time I can get noticed too. Keep up with the recovery, and I expect you appreciate the encouragement others are giving you, as much as you encourage others. Lee. PS You Family sounds helpful, I hope they are looking after you OK. Although I guess you could get fed up with all the attentoin some times huh?? Take care welsh wizard 11-07-1999, 06:48 AM Hi CocoPops To D**m right they fuss like mother hens, but man you got to get on with it you just don't get enough time first time around, better to be a shooting star than a damp sqid, you get noticed, then you have to hide away when you don't want ( talking of my pet project of trying to get people to try and help schools out that can't or don't have computers.) WW SysOpt 11-07-1999, 02:10 PM Cocopops: The site was created in 1994, and the first forum was started sometime in 1996 or 1997 I believe. But that software was scrapped in favor of the current UBB software in February 1999. Some of the regulars here probably remember the history better than I do /forum/wink.gif - time flies. But yeah, keep posting and you'll be a member in no time. Scott Dominus 11-07-1999, 07:25 PM Ever thought about another member status level? I wouldn't mind being a "Senior Member" when I hit 500+ posts /forum/smile.gif. Chainsaw 11-07-1999, 10:09 PM Yea, but then you'd have to have Senior Junior members, Junior Senior members, Senior Senior members, Originating members, New Millenium members . . . well, you get the picture. Oh yea, Welcome CocoPops!!, I'm just a Junior Medium member, just a hair past being a Senior Junior member. This is a very undiscriminating site, but one word of caution, . . . drum roll . . . it's addicting. Chainsaw CocoPops 11-08-1999, 03:16 AM Thanks for the welcome guys, much appreciated. Although I do beleive that visits to here will very soon become regular!! /forum/smile.gif Thanx again, Lee. (aka CocoPops) Zotzmein 11-08-1999, 03:30 AM Just think, you've manage to chalk up six ticks toward that magic "member" number of thirty one so far in this one Post/Thread to date. Congratulations, you’re on your way! Though I'm a junior myself, I welcome you with all the warmth and gladness of a full fledge member. Regards to All, Zotz Mein ---------------------------- A terrified judge at the famed Westminster kennel club screams out in horror “Whose filthy, three legged, one-eyed mutt is this?” “Zotz Mein!” comes the bark back. davem 11-08-1999, 05:13 AM I am now the proud owner of member status . (practicing junior senior member) And looking forward to my gold watch and tie pin when I retire( as I hobble away with my walking stick )Ouch my arthritis is acting up again. But seriously this is a great site and I am proud to be recognised by it . I have been helped out of a quite a few sticky situations by the willing and knowlagable people at this site . A big pat on the back for all Zotzmein 11-12-1999, 11:35 AM CocoPops, This makes my twenty-sixth post; towards the milestone of thirty-one, required for the full fledge title of member. I’m extremely confident that at my current pace I should reach the magic “member” mark by Monday. However the weekend is upon us and my therapist insists that I actually turn off my workstation and leave the house, preferably when the sun is still shinning. He suggested I go to the park, I just hope the playground equipment doesn’t interfere with my laptop’s wireless modem. Regards to All, Zotz Mein I really am excited about chatting with people without the benefit of keyboard or chat room avatars, no really. SysOpt.com
