FatNards 11-04-1999, 04:25 PM the dial up default is checked thanks for the post Underclocked 11-04-1999, 07:08 PM I don't believe you said whether you are running 95 or 98. If 95, you will need to install Client for Microsoft Networks in Control Panel/Network. FatNards 11-04-1999, 10:48 PM dunce worked but so did installing client i reformatted my harddrive and put windows back on and that was the missing link thank you i am very thankful jman01pa 11-04-1999, 10:52 PM If you are using win95? Click on the Network icon in your control panel and make sure that "Client for Microsoft Networks" is installed then choose the Identification tab and change your computer name to your internet username. This work most of the time. Red Rage 11-10-1999, 12:43 AM Just make sure Client for Microsoft Networks is installed. After it reboots it'll ask you for a user/pass to log on to the network (your computer) if you don't want to see that again just click ok with the password blank...if it gives you an error like invalid password you can do a search for *.pwl delete them then reboot then leave the password blank and you should be good to go. kwai 11-10-1999, 08:43 PM hey, how bout Client for Microsoft Networks? /forum/smile.gif mike L 11-11-1999, 08:10 AM this may help you, lots of info here www.annoyances.org/win98.com (http://www.annoyances.org/win98.com) SysOpt.com
