Hi Gals And Guys
It got a bit iffy there for a while, but that golden light can wait for the time being, even though it felt comfy there, there is to much to be done here, I know I'll never see every school out there with computers, but you can all help, most of you know of or have an old system ( even a 286 is magic to a school that hasn't got one) do me a favour perhaps you could organise a help group for schools in your area, not all schools are rich enough to put a decent number of computers in class rooms, and if we don't all help out we might just loose the next programer that will take on Bill Gates becuase he never had agood start on a computer.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw! He's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!! Sound the trumpets! Float the banners! Sea, sky, and land echo with joy!

If we could insert music clips, I'd put a bit of Natalie Merchant's "Wonder" on, to which I'm listening.

So glad for you-- and congratulations to your family-- but are you QUITE sure you aren't risking your battery?! I know we had such a time when my dad was convalescing: he was like a demned jack-in-the-box, always popping up every time we thought we had safely tucked him back in bed. You keep beating them odds, Welsh Wizard: so you can show up in a tux to your kids' (or grandkids') weddings, just like my old man.

Stay well! And I'm not just saying that--
Jeana

Welch Wizard: In 1973 my father-in-law went through a similiar experience. they gave him six months. Finally in 1994 he ,I guess, he figured he had overstayed his welcome long enough and left us. I'm glad he had 16 years with his grangdaughter and sincerely hope you have many, many more years to put up with Windows98 and software conflicts, like me!!!
I'm surely glad I found Sysopt. It's a place you can go for help with your computer, but more it's a neighborhood of vastly different
folks, with vastly different backgrounds who
can commune and feel that there is a common
ground where everyone belongs and are equal,
without regard for personal preferences.
Guess, I've preached long enough, but It is Sunday mornin'.Hope every one has a fine day.
Going out in the country to ride four wheelers.
See ya later the pickel

Very glad to see you up and posting, welsh wizard. /forum/smile.gif

And yes, there are many schools out there that do not have the funding for any computers. My sister is teaching Kindergarden in SC and they were without until she was able to get a couple of used systems donated by the parents.

Not only are systems needed, but software as well.

Glad to see that you are back WW.

Obviously, compliance to the doctor is something many of us have a hard time with...but
not following your wife's orders could be hazardous to your health.

Take care and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hi All,
D**m I can't hide here can I.
Firstly I've found a way around the battery problem, Just have to find the broom, Key board tossing is on the agender shortly, as the local government officals are funny about what I do on my section/erf/plot/lot or whatever I just use them as target practice when they come around to annoy. As for doctor's well you have to tell them whats wrong with you 98% time becuase they can't! till you have ( not that there aren't good doctors out there, just that most aren't psychic) As for sunshine summer is on the doorstep downunder, probably means it'll rain harder than ever. As for Welsh I have been informed I was prattling away for quite a while, well I have got it together now and have remember the vow I made back in 63, Its a language for poets, not the modern world to keep up with and old language or revive one you have to either make up new words or adapt other languages into it, so it's best left behind.
AND YES Susan they do need the software as well, but most important it needs people in every area to get involved and try and get the systems and software togother for the schools you can all do it just by keeping your ears and eyes open, it's up to you if you want to make a big thing of giving them to schools or just doing it quitely which I think is the best way.
Any way great to be back.
